To create your own 3D object do the following:

On a computer (doesn't have to be the one connected to the 3D printer), go to Tinkercad and create an account by clicking "Sign Up".

Once you are logged in, click on "Learn" (upper left side of screen) to go through step-by-step instructions on how to create objects.

Aftere going through somme lessons you may feel comfortable enough to create an object on your own. From the main Tinkercad screen click "Create New Design" to get started.

When your object is complete, you can click the "Design" tab and choose "Download for 3D Printing". Select .STL The file will then be downloaded to your computer. If you are alredy on the laptop connected to the printer, you can open MakerBot Desktop and add that file to be printed. If not, you can copy the file to a memory stick or upload it to Google Drive to transfer it to the laptop connected to the printer.

When you finish printing, you will need to remove the filament from the extruder by following these steps:

1. Click "Monitor" (bottom right corner of the window)
2. Click "Change" (bottom right corner of the window)
3. Choose "Unload Filament"
4. After a short time, the extruder will heat up to the correct temperature. Follow the directions on the screen to remove the filament.
5. Once the extruder temperature has cooled down 31 degrees C, you can quit the MakerBot software on the laptop and turn off the MakerBot printer.
